Working Together

Safety and Trust

Without safety and rust, the process most likely won’t authentically unfold. Spending time getting to slowly know you is really important for a successful process to blossom

The Initial Intake

We’ll begin with getting to know your history; tendencies, patterns and injuries - of both physical and emotional nature. Everything pertinent, and seemingly not pertinent, offers me a deeper sense of your nervous system, what your body’s been through and what’s holding.

This initial intake will guide me into what modalities and ways of working with you will most (a)effectively engage your goals. From this place, I will curate a treatment plan, and then move to table assessment, which comprises of palpation and checking range of motion.

Curating a Treatment Plan

Based on your needs and my intuition, sessions can go many different ways.

People come to me for many reasons. Some purely for nervous system down regulation. Some for NMR (Neuro Muscular Reprogramming-bodywork - physical therapy fusion). Some for somatic therapeutic coaching, and many for a blend of it all.

If I offer a Myofascial Release session, and the nervous system down regulates, tissue adhesions give way to better mobility, yet the condition is still present, I may offer a more specific assessment through NMR which includes muscle testing to see where your body’s coordination patterns are holding the physiological issue in place. This is very helpful technique purposed towards weeding out the root cause of misalignment, inhibited muscle groups, allowing holding patterns to fundamentally release (from a physiological view point).

If the problem persists after a session or two, we now can get curious about the nervous system energetics and assess what your stress levels are. What are your sleep patterns? How chronic has the issue been? From this point, the work becomes about the nervous system energetic holds, most likely on a psycho-emotional level.

What clients are saying…

Superb Bodywork Session!

I worked with Jess Coe last week on a compensation pattern I have been struggling with for the last 8 years. Jess's knowledge of the human mechanics, neurological patterning and just plane relating to people is outstanding. There are certain people you meet doing the work that are a natural and wonderful fit. Along with Jesses knowledge and problem solving skills is the ability to listen well and to have fun. I finally feel like the final pieces of the puzzle are being solved. I have felt great since our session and it continues to get better. I am also a body worker and work with people to change compensation patterns so it is without hesitation I highly recommend Jess! ~ Jen F.

Excellent first session

My first session was last week and Jess meticulously spent the time to understand not only my specific injury but the mechanics of my whole body and motion. This allowed him to treat not only my targeted injury but all of the other biomechanics that were part of the cause of the injury in the first place. I really appreciated his thoroughness and professionalism as he has a plan to help me long term. I look forward to my next session. ~ Nick N.

An awesome experience

I had an awesome experience with Jess. While I went in expecting just a massage, I received true bodywork. Jess took the time to examine different areas of my body, he explained things clearly to me, and then performed the bodywork. He also took the time after the session to give me recommendations and suggestions on what I could do for myself to improve my physiological well-being. ~ Louie P.
